10 MINUTE HANDS-FREE PART CLEANING

Pre-programmed cleaning routines automatically process an entire build chamber in as little as 10 minutes, while media filtering reduces post-processing time on Fuse Sift by 80%.

CONSUMER-GRADE PARTS

The ionization system prevents dust and media from re-settling on your prints, for clean-to-the-touch parts, while the polishing function allows you to go the extra mile and deliver parts with a smooth, semi-gloss, scuff-resistant, dye-ready surface finish.

EXTENDED MEDIA LIFE

Minimize overhead costs thanks to the passive filtering system that reduces media saturation and extends media life by four to eight times.

THE FUSE SERIES ECOSYSTEM

Fuse Blast seamlessly integrates into the Fuse Series ecosystem and streamlines your post-processing workflow, empowering you to fully clean a whole build chamber of printed parts within 30 minutes and drastically reducing labor time and cost. With the optional Polishing System, Fuse Blast takes your parts to another level by polishing them to a smooth, semi-gloss, and dye-ready surface finish, to deliver consistent, professional-grade results every time.

Can I polish parts in Fuse Blast?
The Fuse Blast is equipped to clean components using glass media and also is equipped with the capability to polish parts when fitted with the specialized plastic media of the drop-in polishing upgrade. The upgrade for polishing is an optional accessory that customers can install seamlessly in the Fuse Blast to activate this feature. To perform polishing, it is necessary to change the media within the Fuse Blast; once that is done, parts can undergo cleaning and polishing simultaneously in a single operation.
How long does it take to post-process parts with Fuse Blast?

The typical post-processing time on the Fuse Series ecosystem should be around 15-30 minutes in total for most cases.

This includes the following steps:

  • 5 to 10 mn extracting parts from the powder with Fuse Sift (manual)
  • 10 to 15 mn cleaning time with Fuse Blast (automatic or manual)
  • and/or (optional) 10 to 15 mn polishing with Fuse Blast (automatic or manual) [this step also cleans parts]

Note that some factors such as the material used, part geometry, number of parts, desired powder reclaim, and wear level of the media itself can influence the cleaning time required.

How clean do parts get in Fuse Blast?

Parts that have run through the Fuse Blast are visually clean and clean to the touch. No powder is present on visible surfaces after cleaning and parts can pass a ‘white glove’ test. Non-line-of-sight surfaces like internal cavities and passages may require manual touch-up using Fuse Blast’s manual mode and potentially additional brushes and tools dependent upon the printed geometry.

How much bigger is the build volume for the Form 4L than the Form 4?

The Form 4L features a build volume 4.6 times larger than the Form 4, allowing for large-format printing without compromising on speed.

What are the benefits of SLS 3D printing technology?

SLS 3D printing technology allows for strong, complex designs. It does not require support structures and often functions as end-use parts. The Fuse 1 is designed to be accessible and easy to use. The typical setup time takes less than 1 hour until you are ready to print.
