Can I polish parts in Fuse Blast?
How long does it take to post-process parts with Fuse Blast?
The typical post-processing time on the Fuse Series ecosystem should be around 15-30 minutes in total for most cases.
This includes the following steps:
- 5 to 10 mn extracting parts from the powder with Fuse Sift (manual)
- 10 to 15 mn cleaning time with Fuse Blast (automatic or manual)
- and/or (optional) 10 to 15 mn polishing with Fuse Blast (automatic or manual) [this step also cleans parts]
Note that some factors such as the material used, part geometry, number of parts, desired powder reclaim, and wear level of the media itself can influence the cleaning time required.
How clean do parts get in Fuse Blast?
Parts that have run through the Fuse Blast are visually clean and clean to the touch. No powder is present on visible surfaces after cleaning and parts can pass a ‘white glove’ test. Non-line-of-sight surfaces like internal cavities and passages may require manual touch-up using Fuse Blast’s manual mode and potentially additional brushes and tools dependent upon the printed geometry.
How much bigger is the build volume for the Form 4L than the Form 4?
The Form 4L features a build volume 4.6 times larger than the Form 4, allowing for large-format printing without compromising on speed.
What are the benefits of SLS 3D printing technology?
SLS 3D printing technology allows for strong, complex designs. It does not require support structures and often functions as end-use parts. The Fuse 1 is designed to be accessible and easy to use. The typical setup time takes less than 1 hour until you are ready to print.
