Jeff Martin

Applications Engineer, CPC

The reason for suggesting the Formlabs over the other low end SLS –  I’ve seen the accuracy that the SLS machines were capable of when I was doing the electrical pinning. Some guys had samples around and had been talking for quite a while about it.

Patrick Gerst

VP of Engineering, CPC

Resolution is a big deal for us because we make small round parts to be very general. The layer thickness is critical – especially if we are trying to do a little bit of light sealing and things like that. We found that the Formlabs printer was perfect for most of our needs.

Loi Truong

Design Engineer, CPC

With the Formlabs 3D printer we can get the desired sizes and get a true prototype by injection molding prototyping. Looking at the computer is one thing but when you really print it out and get it the right size that you need – you’re able make adjustments on it to see how they fit and how you feel about it.

Managing Director, Design Concepts Boston

The improvements to the light-touch supports that break away are game-changing. There is no way to describe the first time you take a part and pull at it and it just seamlessly pops completely free. It takes the stress out of building and cleaning parts and lets us keep our focus on design and creation.

COMPLETE YOUR 3D EXPERIENCE

The Form Wash and Form Cure streamline your 3D printing process to help you produce high-quality parts with less time and effort. Originally, these solutions were developed to automate post-processing for the Form 2 and Form 3+. If you are printing smaller parts (14.5 x 14.5 x 18.5 cm) on the Form 3L, the Form Wash and Form Cure may still be viable solutions.

Formlabs Form 3+ Form Wash and Form Cure.

AUTOMATE CLEANING WITH FORM WASH

The Form Wash agitates isopropyl alcohol (IPA) to flow around your parts to get them perfectly clean and raises parts to air dry once finished.

UNLOCK PEAK PERFORMANCE WITH FORM CURE

Introducing the automated post-curing station, the Form Cure precisely controls temperature and light to cure 3D printed parts to their optimal performance properties. This reliable, professional post-curing solution includes custom settings that maximize mechanical properties for each Formlabs material.

WHAT WE OFFER

EAC provides industrial-grade Additive Manufacturing equipment and expertise that is crucial for realizing the true benefits of Additive Manufacturing. Not only does our team excel in understanding the nuances of AM, we also have deep understanding of traditional techniques such as CNC machining, casting, and injection molding. This allows us to speak your language and demonstrate new ways to think about product development and manufacturing that have been impossible until now.

HOW YOU BENEFIT

1
QUICKLY ITERATE YOUR DESIGNS
Additive Manufacturing has revolutionized the ability to quickly create material design iterations. While traditionally, AM is used in the development process, the latest trend is to adopt the same technology for production parts, essentially making your prototyping equipment your production equipment.
2
CREATE FUNCTIONAL PROTOTYPES FOR VALIDATION
With advancements in materials and processes, prototypes now closely resemble production parts, allowing for upstream testing and design validation. Instead of investing time and money in prototype tooling that may become obsolete, Additive Manufacturing enables the creation of fully testable components. This approach drastically reduces testing time and accelerates the path to production compared to traditional methods.
3
ESTABLISH FLEXIBILITY IN PRODUCTION
Discovering design flaws, difficult assembly issues, or changing requirements during production can lead to costly delays and rework. However, with Additive Manufacturing, these challenges can be addressed seamlessly by creating a change order and submitting a new file, eliminating the need for new tooling and avoiding interruption in production. This technology offers significant cost savings in material costs, production time, and QA processes.

What is the difference between ALM and PLM?

Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) are two distinct approaches to managing development. ALM focuses on software development’s lifecycle, including requirements gathering, testing, and deployment. In contrast, PLM focuses on a physical product’s full lifecycle, from ideation to its end-of-life. Overall, the main difference between the two is that ALM is for software applications, while PLM is for physical products.

What is an application lifecycle?

The application lifecycle encompasses phases such as requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance. Each phase plays a crucial role in the application’s success, emphasizing the importance of thoroughly testing and meeting user needs.

Is ALM an Agile tool?

ALM is not an Agile tool but can fit into an Agile development environment. It manages the application lifecycle from conception to decommissioning, involving processes, tools, and people. Agile teams commonly use ALM tools to manage their projects. However, it’s important to note that ALM itself does not align with Agile principles.
