ThingWorx Navigate, formerly known as PTC Navigate, is a suite of product lifecycle management (PLM) apps specifically developed for PTC Windchill users where the non-expert, casual Windchill user can easily access and navigate through the product data they need to do their job. The ease of use that comes with the simple interface on ThingWorx Navigate PLM apps helps users to finish projects faster and disrupt co-workers less which ultimately speeds up the product life cycle, time-to-market, and boosts productivity within your organization.

What is Thingworx Navigate?

Thingworx Navigate is a set of revolutionary applications. It allows access to product data sourced from multiple enterprise systems in a simple, user interface. This ensures stakeholders always have the latest, most accurate product information in context to their role to drive critical decisions.

Why ThingWorx Navigate?

Most enterprise software tools are inaccessible to users due to costly licensing, intensive training, and the time it takes to integrate and customize. Non-expert stakeholders access and exchange data from disconnected systems, processes, and tools. These workarounds create a new instance of the data that is no longer under change control. Subsequent updates to the system make the workaround, and any decisions made with it irrelevant and inaccurate.

What is the relationship between Navigate and Windchill, Integrity, Windchill PLM and Windchill SIM?

Thingworx Navigate is a “system of engagement”. It is how people interact with technologies like Windchill (including PLM/SIM) and Integrity. “Systems of record” are where expert-level users work, where they manage, store and reference content. Oftentimes these “systems of record” are too difficult for casual and infrequent users to use efficiently. Thingworx Navigate is the solution that creates a more streamlined, intuitive, “system of engagement” to get the same information in the “system of record”, in real-time.
